CRISL-- The first ISO 9001: 2015 Certified Rating Agency in Bangladesh

Credit Rating Information and Services Limited (CRISL), the country's first and the leading credit rating company, has been awarded ISO (International Organization for Standardization) Certificate for being compliant with ISO 9001:2015 requirements in the area of Credit Analysis and Risk Assessment services on 31st October, 2019. The certificate was handed over recently by BQC Assessment Private Limited, the noted global institution dealing mainly with quality management of institutions and organizations of different types operating across the globe.

With this, CRISL became the lone credit rating institution of the country being ISO Certified.

Apart from ISO certification, CRISL was also adjudged the best rating agency of the country for the year 2018 by the Hong Kong based leading financial publication and research organization 'The Asset' and was awarded ' The Asset's Triple A Regional Award, 2018'. In the current year CMO Asia also presented Bangladesh Best Brands Awards, 2019 through a colorful function arranged in the city recently.

A fully compliant institution, both functionally and ethically, with national and international standard, CRISL was established as a closely held public limited company in 1995 and entered into partnership agreement with Rating Agency of Malaysia (RAM) Berhad and JCR-VIS Credit Rating Company of Pakistan. It obtained recognition from Bangladesh Bank as an External Credit Rating Institution (ECAI) in 2009.

The institutions rated by CRISL include domestic and foreign banks and financial institutions, insurance companies, corporate houses, SMEs etc. Till date more than 30,000 entities and exposures covering almost all the sectors of the economy came under CRISL's rating horizon.
