CRISL renews its ISO 9001: 2015 Certification

Credit Rating Information and Services Limited (CRISL), the country's pioneer and leading credit rating company, has been reissued ISO (International Organization for Standardization) Certification for being continuously compliant with ISO 9001:2015 requirements in the area of Credit Analysis and Risk Assessment services on 12 February, 2023. The certificate was handed over recently by Bureau Veritas Certification Holdings SAS-UK Branch, approved by the UKAS (National Accreditation Body of the United Kingdom) dealing mainly with quality management of institutions and organizations of different types operating across the globe. 

CRISL is currently the only credit rating institution of the country which is ISO Certified.

A fully compliant institution, both functionally and ethically, with national and international standard, CRISL was established as a closely held public limited company in 1995 and entered into partnership agreement with Rating Agency of Malaysia(RAM) Berhad and JCR-VIS Credit Rating Company of Pakistan. It obtained recognition from Bangladesh Bank as an External Credit Rating Institution (ECAI) in 2009.

The institutions rated by CRISL include domestic and foreign banks and financial institutions, insurance companies, corporate houses, SMEs etc. Till date nearly 40,000 entities and exposures covering almost all the sectors of the economy came under CRISL's rating horizon.
